Will someone tell me where I can find something that gets rid of spyware and pop-ups?

Lots of different programs can do it, Ad-aware 6 is one but it is free and the extras to be a fully working version then kills popups and spyware being installed on your pc but you have to make a donation as the base program is freeware. Other than that leave it as a freeware limited featured program and then run regular scans and quarantine the results, do however make sure you read the descriptions of what each file that the scan finds are, as some of the "spyware" files found aren't nasty and you need them

Well mine came from a cover disk on a magazine...but as it is a european magazine, not a lot of chance of you getting it that way
Try a Google search the company is based in Sweden and called Lavasoft they do have a downlaod of all the versions available on the website but as the link I have is from the program itself I don't get the web addy listed

I use Ad-Aware (paid for the full version) and Spybot (free) and I have no problems. You can get Spybot at www.download.com.Comment

Try out Mozilla for web browsing ... has a ton of options to kill pop-ups and other annoying web effects like browser resizing. I've been using it for about two years now and have been very happy with it.Comment
