Well see... I wanted more harddrive space...

I dunno if this was the best way to do it? I now have 3 harddrives, 40gig, 17gig, 13gig, totaling at 70 gigs!

Yes that is packaging tape holding the last one in. My motherboard only supports 4 IDE drives

So add a PCI IDE controller card, or buy a mother board that supports RAID. Or you could of course buy bigger harddrives

70 gigs? Ha. I have almost twice that in my PC, not including network drives on the other PCs.

haha nice, ghetto style! Ever see that Cardboard PC case?

70 Gigs is nice, isen't it annoying that its spread between 3 drives though?

I guess, but I do projects sometimes and they take up a huge amount of space (a halflife video or something) and I want to keep it on a seperate drive.

I got really bored so I painted my fan and some parts on my computer case... I might do the side panels later

I ran out of red so I added green camo on the panels... ~~~

So I'm going to add the green camoness stuff to the other parts

go out and buy some mounting brackets (to mount a 4" drive in a 5 1/4" bay). i'm not sure, but i dont think it's a good idea to keep a harddrive on its side, and the tape isn't going to keep it sturdy and probably doesnt disipate heat too well.

A harddrive on its side is no problem my case has slots to mount them diliberately on their side, but the mounting kit is a good idea and yes the packing tape is gonna get very very sticky with the heat the drive is going to create.

And just 'cos I feel all mischevious (threadjack mode) if any of you would like to see the front of my machine...Oh I know the CDRW is slow but for the amount of burning I do it's fine for me and I do have an ally plate for the floppy drive and still to get a couple for the DVD and CDRW and unless I change my harddrive mounts they will have to stay silver grey, the USB ports can't do anything other than paint them

Bad camera angle....honest, but when you add up what I actually have plugged in it could be worse there are no spare (unused) power leads other than the wierd plugged ones you can't even see at the top of the case.

ill post mine as soon as i get my cam working. i have all my cables tied off and the ide cables are all folded and tucked away, the only cable that is infront of the mobo is the power cable that goes to my ATi all in wonder.
