Check out this Scooter helmet I am trying to buy

looks more like 1940's to me. maybe late 1930's. in Germany. for some reason it looks like a nazi helmet to me.

hehe... well for certain you all are going to see the whole thing. And no its 60's I think. Well so does the current owner. .. Its more like a fox hunters helmet I think. Sort of. but it would be at least 1946 style or later. cause thats when Scooters came into thier own. Right after WWII.

Oh and...I will be doing the goggles now since you mentioned it. Just wait. I will now work on the goggles to make you all happy. I was wearing my safety glasses which are perscription. But now I going all the way to the goggles for you!

I would not be caught dead riding a scooter.
It has nothing to do with cool points or anything like that.
It all has to do with wheel diameter.The wheels on that thing are so small , they are just waiting to get stuck down in a pothole , or drain.Not to mention the simple lack of control through sand or other debris in the roadway.Heaven forbid you should ever run over a squirrel or something, it would lauch you like Evil Kenevil(sp)....

Well those are good points. They are not HIGHWAY cruisers but they have their place in inner city 40 MPH or less situations. Where a large diameter wheel motorcycle starts becoming unmanuverable. You do indeed have to pay attention to road hazards. But do so at lower speeds and can manuver away from them easier and faster. I have seen lots of LARGE wheel scooters lately. It streatches the definition. All they retain is the step through front for upright riding but they have 14 and even 16 inch wheels. Ussualy large motors of 400 - 650 cc. But its a matter of application. A small wheel scooter can be safer at lower speeds because of its manuverability. So you just have to keep all that in mind as to what you are needing to use something for. I myself would not take a small wheeled vehicle over about 40 -45 (I prefer 35) mph nor would I take it on the Interstate. They are just not made for that application. However if you apply them to the right situations they excel in those.
