    Need some advice from AO-CA [so cal]

    I'm moving back to California in late August, But I'll be temporarily arround the Central Coast. All the fields in that area are long gone, except I hear they have one out at Vandenberg AFB now... ANYHOW..

    I need a serious boost of morale, it seems the only parks are in the LA/OC areas [which is fine since i plan to move that way] but all the reviews I am hearing lately are totaly negative...

    I know it is easier to complain, than it is to praise, but I'd like some recomendations on fields you've used.. I've played Jungle Island, SC Village, and some indoor place in San Juan Capistrano, Also played at Central Coast PB all back in '98.

    It's bad enough over here having to wait until the weekends to play, now it looks like i'll have a 1-3 hour drive on top of that.. suckage.

    I've played at Jungle, SC, Tombstone and Hollywood Sports Park. All have their own reasons for liking disliking. Pluses for Jungle are price etc. Downers for it are the fields are on top of each other and I get hit more from other games then the game I'm in. SC. It's cool but way to overated in my book. It does have a $10 all day speedball which I love. Downer it get's over crowded. Tombstone- so far is my favorite. It wasn't as crowded and was fairly cheap. Not much as far as speedball but with the new airball field I'm happy. Last but not least is HSP. I enjoyed myself there even though it was crowded. It was fun playing rec games with the props of Starship Troopers. The fields are challenging and look real good. They even have a couple airball fields. Downer to that place is that it get's crowded and is field paint only. Other then that it's the best I've played. I'm still looking to play other places but other things (mainly RogueFactor's new items) have kept me at bay from playing as of late. To bad your not moving out sooner. We are having a So Cal AO meet on the 2nd of August @ SC. Let the So Cal AO know when you move in and maybe we could get a group for a game.
    Sorry, I'm old

      California Paintball Park in Castaic is pretty good. We play there alot and really like it. The refs are pretty kewl and the layout is good. They don't require field paint and the price is reasonable. I'm not sure how far that is for you though. I've played at Hollywood Sports Park twice, I really liked it the first time, but the second time sucked. The fields are really kewl, but the length of the games and the wait between games are too short and too long respectively. The first time we played there it was a private party so the games were alot more structured which is probably why I enjoyed it more. I've played at Tomestone twice and liked both times, the only thing is they don't have a bathroom and when you play in the heat and drink lots of water no bathrooms is not a good thing. I've been to Jungle Island but didn't get to play. Anyway, I just thought I would put in my 2 cents.

        Not too much farther south than Jungle Island there's Adrenaline. It's all Sup-Air ball, the staff's pretty cool but unless it's like a practice night, they got too many walkons stuffed into the small courses...

        Adrenaline:

        price = $20 (day) /$15 (night)
        Co2 = Per fill, $?
        3k/45k = $10 all day/night
        2 Sup Air Ball Style Fields on gravel in old hockey rinks

          Really?! I play there almost all the time and there are two bathrooms. They had three but made one into employee's only. One's next to the pay window and the other is accessible from the outside in the back of the barn.

          I played in Borderland in San Diego and was pretty nice. There's a reason why they call it BorderLand, it's close to the border. I even saw border patrol stop by. There used to be one in Azusa but the land is now covered by townhomes. The news field that I know of is adrenaline. A friend of mines played there but haven't asked her about it yet. Here's a break down of Tombstone and SCVillange:

          Tombstone:

          price = $20
          air = co2 $7 for 12oz
          3k/45k $10
          can't really remember price since I have my own scuba
          fields = around 11, including one sup air

                Can't really remember air price since I have my own scuba, that I hid, and only glanced at the price when I went back in march. I also mostly play at Tombstone since it is less crowded.

                  I'll be moving to Santa Maria temporarily. After about a good month of sleep and partying, I'll be looking for work down south. I'm mobile, and I need to feed my paintball addiction.. so i'll play anywhere heh.

                      I went to the one that has the washing machine in it. It was out of order both times we went. So technically I was wrong but since it wasn't working, there was no bathroom LOL
                      I didn't know they had two, thanks.
