Exactly, Halo just crossed the 4million sales mark a little while back. And there were a lot of rumors about Halo2 comin out on Christmas this year, but the only official date that has ever been said was just later in 2004. So dont hold your breath for it.

Can't forget though... microsoft makes a ton from the pc industry... Windows, Office, Encarta, Games, MSN Internet... whereas Xbox, they got the console, Xbox live (Which they have to maintain), controllers, and games.

I think going the PC route would be better, because they dont make much if someone buys an xbox just for halo 2.

Microsoft makes loads of cash if someone buys an Xbox dude, they have their hands in the moneypot for almost all the killer apps for the console, so everyone is naturally gonna pick up the sequels if they liked the originals. Xbox is almost all first party, very few big third party games, which is a shame cuz xbox=the man. And before you start saying that graphics will be so much better on PC, the guys porting Halo commented on how hard it was to port the textures because Xbox renders textures so well, (except for water textures, Xbox sucks at rendering water), but the higher resolutions will be nice. Halo for the PC looks cool, like a directors cut of the original, but the banshees in multiplayer are definitely gonna attract lamers.

Maybe someone can PM me why my sig was tampered

The higher res will be awesome, except that Im stuck on a 15inch laptop screen(argh!). But yes, I do agree that there will be a lot of noobs who jummp in the banshees every chance they get, just like they do the tank, but they will also definately come in handy and having huge dogfights with them will also be extremely cool.

HALO 2 is scheduled for release in April of 2004 which probably means it won't come out till Christmas of 2004. And Micrsoft will probably delay the PC release for 2 years

Still the MODs (probably the main reason I buy PC games) for HALO should be fantstic.

In fact, the fall/winter should be amazing for PC games.

Half Life 2 is set for Septmeber/October (definately before Christmas).

              HALO, as previously mentioned.

Madden 2004 with its "Playmaker Ability" will at least be interesting.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne- Novemeber

Knights of the Old Republic will come to where it belongs-the PC-after a 4 month delay (don't get me started )

That's not counting the "possibles" like Doom 3, Thief 3, and Deus Ex:Invsible or the expansion packs to C&C Generals and Rainbow Six 3.

I'm gettin excited just thinkg about it. Now if they'll just make a Bridge Commander 2 I'll be happy
