only a little more htan 24 hours and it's out!!! X-Box!!! I'm freaking out! I'm willing to wait in line for hours before it comes out....


Reasons why X-Box is better than it's compeditors...

X-Box has a 733Mhz CPU, fastest ever in game console history while the Game Cube (GC) has only 480 and PS2 crawling at only 300.

233MHz custom XChip GPU develpoed by MS and NVIDA! GC with some crappy ATI at 200 and PS2 crawling with it's own little GPU at only 150.

64MB of RAM for Xbox, 42 for GC, and only 32 for PS2.

The memory bandwith for Xbox is 6GB per second! both PS2 and GC only at 3, thats half the speed.

125million pollygons per second with the Xbox, 66m for PS2, and 6-12M for GC.

Xbox has amazingly 256 audio channels while GC has 64, and PS2 is still crawling at 48.

Xbox comes with broadband modem and a 10/100 eithernet while GC has a 56k which still has to be bought separatly.

For all you hardcore gammers, A little more than 24 hours?!?!?!!!!!

They still have bugs!!! OH NO! Wait till the bugs are worked out. I learned that lesson the hard way when I bought the ps2 when it came out. Mine has a bug here and there from the system...

Remember: PS2 was realeased earlier than the x-box so it shuld be less technologically advanced. When the ps2 hard drive comes out it should be surpassing the x-box which has a built in hard drive. That's why there's a major difference...

I'll go with the GC for now, but I might end up buying an X-Box, or PS2 (maybe both) some time down the road...depends on which system Sega develops software the most for.

N64 was "technologically" twice as good as PS1. PS1 still totally kicked its butt in every department.

Sony has the best games contracted to its system. I stay where the good games are, pretty graphics mean nothing if I don't have my Final Fantasy and MGS2

N64 in general was not 2x better htan PSX. Graphics... sure, PSX only had 32bit graphics while N64 had 64bit (duh).

Bugs... i don't think so, the console is made by MS, not all the game. SEGA, Sony and i believe even Nintendo ( not sure but doubtful) is making games for the Xbox.

watch as the stock MSFT rocket sky high from now till Jan .

Im getting a PS2 for a few reasons.

1) Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. best racign game Ever Made Period. Enough Said.

2) The DVD Player. has more features than the Xbox's DVD player. And its made by SONY. HELLO? a DVD player by Microsoft? I'd rather break out my Beta Player.

3) It can play old PS games. Thats like a big one. So now when I have friends over, they can brign all their PS gaems and we can play them too. XBox's games are all new... so there.

4) I like the looks better. That a personal preference. I also liek the Controller. I liek the N64's the best.. I say hte N64 Controller revolutionized game controliing... with that trigger AND hte R?l buttons.. cant beat it.. but the PS controller comes in 2nd.. Xbox looks wierd.

5)More games. More Variety. Cheaper.

6) I know ppl who have them, they say good things. I would trust Nintendo before Sony, I have been with Nintendo since hte Plumber Box (NES) to the 64. But they are behind. and all those ppl with PS/PS2's cant be wrong.

Has anyone noticed that all the game systems now are coping the original PlayStation controller. They all bare some resemblence to it. I used to have a NES and then I upgraded to PS1 to PS2. In betwen there I have played nearly every single game system. The only game system i probably have not played was a Neo Geo. Do any of you game buffs remember turbo graphics 16. That is where i get my name from.HAHAHA. Anyway, back to my point. Look at what PS1 was able to accomplish with its limited resources. Those are some dame fine graphics if you run over all the internals. I expect that right now we are only seeing the tip of the ice berg with sony. not to mention they have already started design of PS3. Hold on to your seats folks its going to be a crazy ride till that one is available. Right now for the bucks and the overall practicallity of playing I choose PS2. Not to mention you know when PS3 comes out you will most likelybe able to play all ps1 ps2 and of course ps3 games on it. Sony has to great of a marketing scheme to be beat by microsoft. You can't beat the whole greatest hits deal that sony does. Great games come out and a month later the price drops about 20 bucks. Gran Turismo3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 are both sweet *** games. Anyway that is just my 2 cents.:o
