You are aware that Adobe has been stopping production of all their new programs for Mac. The company that practically kept Mac's viable is now jumping ship. I have no problems with Apple computers. But when After Effects (and many other widely used programs) renders faster on a PC. Yes I understand that the G5 is a much faster processor. But the G4 has been out since just before 2000. That's over three years before a decent product upgrade. In that time Apple has lost many customers due to the amount the fell behind in both speed and pricing. I hope that this will help them to keep in the market, but I for one won't change when I can purchse four real-time editing stations for the same price as one Final Cuts Pro station that still requires rendering.

That interesting cause Adobe just anounced a whole new set of software for Macs. Including a Photoshop line. Not that there were not plenty already for that....

And if I am not mistaken they tried to sell out a while back.

And its been Microsoft that has realised they could not let 10% of its business go away and proped up sopport and money for Apple. They been the big players in making Mac's stay around.

I was referring mainly to the video products that Adobe is releasing in the near future. Those are the ones that affect me most directly and so are the ones I pay attention to them more than others. Two of the three large releases they are having next month ar Pc only. Mainly because Apple has come out with their own competing products. It's the same principal behind not offering Photoshop Elements for the Apple.

I do not doubt that Microsoft supports the Apple for the reasons stated. My main issue is that I just find it incredible that in the fast moving industry they are in, it has been such a long time between the G4 and G5. When the G4 was announced it was the fastest at the time, but within one year it had been bypassed and in two years most readily available PC's could outpreform the G4.
