AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.

That may have even been the last Dark year and last for the Bronco. It was discontinued about then and American car quality was starting to improve by then but still catching up... but that particular design had been left to rot by then as they were about done with it. The Explorer and such four door SUV's had overtaken it. I wasn't even sure they still made Bronco's in 95 even. But not long after that they was gone.
AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!
Hey Cryer, good call on switching your wish to a Jeep. I've got a Dakota, and you don't want to go there. I had a wheel bearing replaced, the upper and lower control arms replaced and the fuel pump replaced all before I hit 40,000 kms (about 25,000 miles). Then at about 50,000 kms, my differential went and had to be replaced. It'll be a frosty Friday in hell before I buy another Dodge. My last Chevy was a total lemon too. I actually maintain my vehicles very well too. Looks like I'll have to give Ford a try next.

Okay it is a 9 year old Bronco. How many miles on the clock? Have you replaced the tranny or Engine? A waterpump will fail on EVERY AUTOMOBILE EVENTUALLY! I bet you have over 100k on that truck if so, then it doesn't owe you a dime!
I have had many Fords over the years with no complaints. I just happen to have a Jeep and a Bimmer now.
Vehicles fail. My friend and I have the same year VW Jetta Wolfsburg's. Mine has had no problems, his, has been back to VW a few times for little things. With the thousands of moving parts on automobiles, its amazing that they even work when you think about it.
My 93 F-150 has over 210,000 on it and is still running strong with the original 351 windsor, original E40D auto-tranny, and all original running gear. All that's ever been replaced on it was the brakes and shocks... oh and I broke a front axle shaft too while four wheeling, but yeah I was cranking the steering wheel hard to the right and gunning it up a steep hill so something had to let go!
I am wanting to rebuild the tranny and engine sometime soon and swap out the front and rear axles for some beefier straight axles from an old 3/4 ton ford. Not because any of the stuff needs it, but just because I MUST UPGRADE STUFF... I have a problem with leaving things the way they are! LOL

That's right they got discontinued, but are on display still:
LMAO!!! Yeah that new Camaro sure is a piece of... um... art! I think it's funny that the F-bodies went down the drain... they weren't attracting any new consumers and it got to where it wasn't even worth it to make them anymore. Meanwhile Ford's Mustangs are still kickin' ace!
My buddy's a Camaro guy and he thought he was all bada$$ with his 94 Camaro with the V6 and auto-tranny, but I had my sisters 96 Mustang GT with the 4.6 and 5-speed... I knew the cars weren't even comparable, but he didn't and he wanted to race, so we did... LOL lemme tell ya, It was hilarious to put him to so much shame!
Broncos were discontinued in 1996. They came with a 300, 302, or 351.
Here's my guess. Since water pumps usually don't just size like that (i'm assuming thats why the fan flew off... belts stopped) they usually leak for a long time first. Now maybe you had a head gasket leak, and you were getting really gunked up coolant. That could have caused the water pump to go to crap very quickly, and therefor not very long warning signs.
I'm a Ford fan, but i'm not gunna say they're bullet proof. Ford axles and gears are very strong, the C-6 is the strongest mechanical tranny to come stock in a pickup. ever. The straight six 300 is known to keep on ticking, for a long time, and take any kind of beating you can throw at it.
But my truck... well... it's a 1995. Just put $1015 worth of steering linkage and rotor grinding into it, and a brake line rusted through. The shocks are just in for the ride. I don't think they do anything at this point. It's a SIX CYLINDER in a pickup truck, now that just pisses me off. Thing clicks and ticks and hisses and pisses fluids every where. Damn Ford.
The 300 though, it'll go for a long time. It's not unusual to see a 300 go for 300,000 miles. Then you rebuild it and bore it .020 over. Then you put another 300,000 on it. then you bore it .040 over... then .060. that's a lot of miles. Thing is nobody keeps a block for that long!
I'm sure you'll find in your car buying life time that car brands all have lemons and all have long lifed cars. Just the luck of the draw. Don't buy a monday truck.
