I said an m4, the a1 version, aka m4a1, almost all military rifles have different versions (* I.E. m16 - m16a1 - m16a2*). The M4A1 is no different. I wasnt reffering to a tank or the m1 Garand Rifle used in WWII thru early Vietnam.

I shot one of those in my firearms class. Although it was a sub-machine version. In other words, 9mm ammunition.

Anyone have much knowledge about the quality of the military-issued M16A2s vs. the Bushmaster rifles?

the bushmaster lines are great quality. out of the stoner copys the bushmaster is right next to the Armalite civilian series. and the govt issue. i wount say any one is better than the other. but they are top ones.


EDIT: unless you really have your hart set on a .223 i suggest you look into a .308 AR or a CETME. get your self a nice saiga carbine in 308, ok im done with my rambling.

Hey! I showed great forbearance in not commenting on 1de continued anti French campaign. By the way my brother just came back from the Netherlands. He was amazed to find that they are huge fans of Hillary Clinton and want her to be our next president.

He had to explain to them that certain elements of our nation revile her so much (much more than her husband) that there would be civil war were she to win a national office.

So you are telling me that the Dutch are just as stupid as the French then?

You have to read up on your founding father Facts... If you read that book John Adams you will find that the Netherlands lent us some dough during the revolutionary war. So don't start getting down on the French and the Dutch otherwise you would still be speaking in the Queen's English!
