They could get in a whole lot of trouble for that illegal chemical mixing. I think you should tell them that unless they give you a GOOD raise and are more flexible with their hours that you are going to report them. Im sure they will be much nicer to you then

my friend used to work at CVS but quit after a 65 year old guy walked in wearing nothin but a spedow and thong sandels and bought a pack of condoms! EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW!

I usually work Thursday, friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday. All of those days are my paintball days. Wednesday Nights, Saturday mornings, or Sunday mornings.


I told my place of business, CVS, that I need Sundays off (for paintballing), so what do they do? the schedule me 8 am to 3 pm, every sunday. I tell them if I work Sunday, it has to be after 4, do they listen? No.

I am supposed to get a 50 cent to a dollar raise, which i was supposed to get 4 months ago. I am way uneerpaid for what I do. people who are photo lab technicians (thats what i do) make between 7-10 dollars an hour, i make, 5.50.

I'm forced to pour chemicals, which is illegal for me to do cuase I am under 18, and i spilled chemicals on my skin and got a nasty rash and dry skin. Do they care? No.


I want to go to Ocean City in new Jersey this weekend. All my friends are goin down. and When i say all, i mean ALL of them. Well, not me, cause im stuck....working.



What would you do?

Tell them unless your working conditions change, i.e., you get a raise, better hours, and aren't doing anything illegal that you're going to turn them into the better business bureau or sue. If you're just a kid, not 18 yet, you could also get them if they work you for too many hours.

5.15 = minimum wage

if its deemed a 'summer job' they could pay you half that.

Reasoning: they obviously don't respect you, or care about you or your well-being, and as a result, don't deserve squat in return from you.

Quit - assuming you can find other work

Give two weeks notice, do not pull any stunts (especially the photo one that causes harm to customers). You will find that some of the worst jobs in the world yield friends later on. Some of my employees hated working for me, they are now some of my best friends and I go out of my way for them. The fact is - you may need them for someting someday, and leaving on "decent" terms will get you further in life than just walking out or such.

My dad is a Section Chief for the New Jersey DEP and I saw employees of CVS dumping raw chemicals down the sink. they also had a problem with there diluting machine which is supposed to dilute the silver bearing waste, so they just dumped straight silver waste down the drain. thats a HUUUUUUUUGE fine. I already told my pops about it, he said he could look into it but i told him not to.

Talk to your supervisor and look for another job. Give 2 weeks notice before you quit though, don't be a jerk. The truth is, your probably not necessary for that place to be running, thats why they don't really care. If you quit, they'll just find some other kid to do it.
