You need to provide a little more information then "I have no sound on my computer" if you want anyone to help fix the problem. do you have a soundcard? onboard audio? are the speakers plugged in? are they plugged into the right jack? did they just stop working or did you do anything to the speakers? if you have winxp go to start>run and type "sndvol32" with no quotes. make sure the sound isn't muted, in certain apps like real player if you turn the sound all the way down it will mute everything else.
AHHH my sounds messed up!!!!

*Try what was stated above and then...
The steps I would take would be.
1 Make sure the speaker cable is in firmly.
2 plug in some other speaks / headphones into the speaker jack to see if they work.
3 if its your speakers that arnt working... replace batteries / replace speakers
4 if its the card, crank the volume up all the way and see if you can hear anything at all [other than feedback]
5 install the latest drivers/direct X for your soundcard.
6 Go into the device manager and make sure your BIOS didn't just give out your sound cards IRQ to someone else. [If you are running an HP chances are it will have some components with the same IRQ address since their motherboards have things like net cards/soundcards/video built into the board.Comment

if he didn't change anything then it's unlikely that the drivers or IRQ stuff is messed up, just try plugging headphones in to check if they work. if they do then your speakers are no good.Originally posted by SG Avenger
