I saved for a while and bam, got pretty much a new computer. Mom wouldn't let me buy one prebuilt so I had to build one. Man was it cheaper.

1024mb pc3200
Cheiftec case (the one everyone has)
Some fans, thermal stuff, floppy and some otehr generic stuff i needed like lights and the bio-hazard sticker that I haven't put on yet.

Now I can surf AO twice as fast!!

I know, I did learn alot though. I'm acctually not rich though, AO has this weird view that I am but I pay for my own stuff. Are you kidding my mom wouldn't give me a penny to get a new computer.

Ohh well it was kinda fun except for the part that it didn't turn on .

I probably save $500 doing it myself though. That's nearly the cost of the parts I bought.

the vidcard is just a g4 ti4200 but sometime before i go to college i'll be getting an ati all in wonder 9800, and i turned off HT cause i cant play halo online if its on. the only thing i hate about building your own comp is that after you upgrade theres always something better that you can always get.

I bought a laptop from them in june, and they mailed me the software, the printer, the extra monitor, the extra battery within 5 days from order, and then it took two weeks tog et the laptop...so it was all just sitting there and im like....oooo k?

I got a real nice monitor here and the MS Office Pro software and a nice iChat Camera but no CPU... I was not expecting it till late August cause these things are brand new and they said 8 weeks. But then they ship me some stuff and I get my hopes up.
