28 days later...a new ending!::spoiler!!::

Okay, let me start by saying that 28 days later... is an incredible movie. When it came out, we saw it and I loved it. It is most definitely one of my favorite movies.

Last Friday, the second ending was released. Today I finally saw the new ending and to put it lightly, I didn't like it one bit. Not too say Jim dying was certaining and good twist, but Seleena and Hannah really should have died too. Personally I would think a better ending would have been when they hit the gates, the car didn't keep going, it crashed....and Saleena and Hannah were killed, leaving Jim alone, in the rain and darkness. And then have him try and run down the road and as he fades into the scenery, you can hear the infected scream....then Jim scream and that's it. But that's what I would have done.

I personally think Saleena and Hannah trying to save Jim, then he dies, sucks. No closure.

But then again, I think the original ending was the ultimate ending and definitely my favorite.

Anyone else have an opinion?

my blunt opinion....well...aside from falling asleep three times....it was the most outlandish movie i've seen in a while....the plot was horrible (especially for a "horror" movie) and that second ending sucked. i sat through the credits to see that crap...not again

I think that the second ending was actually the original ending... but it sucked too much so they changed it.

I disagree, the rest of the movie was too well stacked to end so abruptly. It would be like ending Gone with the wind by having them die in the Atlanta fire. It was too big of a shot to not have it end like it did. They put together the alter ending for fun, and with no intention of having it as the real ending.

Does anyone know who sang the first song in the credits?

I think the reason the original ending was so bad, was that we had to wait through the whole credits, then it flashes back to 10 minutes prior, and we watch a "what if" scenario, which i think if it was integrated into the movie would have been more acceptable, but just having it after the movie made it feel even more cheap.
