AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
You know, I've always heard that Harry Potter was good. Though, I could never bring myself to read them. I can't imagine why, seeing as I read most of the Dragonlance Saga in my highschool years...
Anyone else here ever read any William Gibson?
Giant flying dogs are gonna give you a flame-thrower enema!!!
Matt Reilly is ok... he's got a great writing style, even if some of his stuff is under-researched, or if he excessively sacrifices reality for creative license. He's definitely a fun read though.
I used to read a lot of Clive Cussler, but I just can't get into his stuff any more.
Not sure if I could pinpoint a single favourite book, but "The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams or the Red Dwarf series by Doug Naylor are pretty damned hard to put down.
For non-fiction, go read "Band of Brothers" by Stephen E Ambrose. Usually the author gives me the ****'s with his flag waving, but it's a good book about ordinary people in extra-ordinary times in the words of the people who were there. Also got made into an HBO mini-series if no-one feels like reading...

"CRIKEY!!!! Look at the size of this fella !!!!!"
"When you get married, you learn really quick that there's a good time, and a not so good time, to start playin' snap-shooting-from-behind-the-couch moves with a brand new $1,000 paintball gun." -Jack & Coke
