    Small winamp problem

    Started happening recently...

When I play some songs in winamp (particularly a few entire albums), it will just skip right over them as if it cannot read them... like if they were an unknown file type or something. Some of the time it will give me nameofsong.wma(maybe it was .wmf) and it skips right over them. I KNOW I've listened to these songs before..

Could it have anything to do with them being moved from their original folders (for the sake of organization)

Are the files still valid files? (Did anything happen to them?) Open Windows media player and see if it will play those files.

Did you install any codec packs recently?

It may be best to simply uninstall and reinstall WinAmp to see if that fixes the problem.

My winamp does that sometimes. I just remove the files from my playlist, then putthem back in, that always works for me.

It's because you moved them from the location listed in your playlist. It is still searching for them were they USED to be, not where they are now.

Either put 'em back, or update your playlist.
