My Trip

As promised here are some pictures of my trip to Russia this summer.

I will be able to show a link with all of them later, but until I get the site up these three will have to do.
The first one is me on the top of St. Issacs in St. Petersburg. It is the third tallest cathedral in the world (maybe 4th). The reason I look tired and out of breath is because I am. I just climbed 15 flights of steps in 100 degree weather.

Here is me in front of Red Square. This was 2 days after the bomb exploded (I was in my hotel room when it happened which is 3 mintues from the spot I am standing at). I couldn't bring a camera in, and the only people allowed into red square was those viewing Lenin (which I did get to see, freaky is all I can say).

And lastly, this picture has no cultural or site seeing meaning, just a typical night with my group.

This does hold some meaning to me. This night I did drink the most I have ever drunk. 4 to 5 liters of an 8% german beer, 4 glasses of wine, and 4 russian size shots of vodka. I didn't have a hang over, I didn't puke, I was able to take the hour journey on metro and buses back to my home, and go to bed. I was proud of myself

Red Square is gorgeous. Russia is definitely a place I'd like to visit. I was in Germany/Hungary/Slovakia/Poland this past spring and loved it.
