Did the RIAA screw up kazaa?

I dled a couple songs(first time in a while) the other day and both were messed up, it would play like 20 seconds of the song and then the rest was all weird sounding, like just noise, and then it would start playing again for like 10 seconds then crap out again then play the last 10 secs or so of the song, and I tried downloading like 10 more songs and they are all messed up.

Well, before I deleted Kazaa, I started to get songs like that too. But then, when I would put them in jukebox they would be fine.

I doubt the RIAA would have any influence on the files.

there's a lot of those going around. especially before an album is actually released. cause people are dumb and try to download stuff that's not out yet. so the riaa puts out junk files that are approximately the right size. floods the service with crap.

I've read that some musicians and companies have put messed songs up on Kazaa. Apparently Madonna put one of her songs up that faded into her lecturing about copywrite infringement (which someguy made into a song of itself).

Although I could be 100% wrong.

yeah madonna did one like that. metallica did one that supposedly is better than a lot of what's on the album. but if the artist isn't involved they usually just take a clip of the song. around 30 secs or so and then they insert some really loud telephone number out of service beeps. then play the same clip over again.

Yea, I downloaded that some Rob Zombie did with Drowning Pool a while back, and it had the phone beeps. and I always get songs that are just the chorous in a loop for however long the song should be.

i dont like popular music so i havent been affected by this much. I listen to like the beatles, radiohead, thursday and stuff on independent lables that want their music heard by as many people as possible

get kazaa light k++, you can filter out all that **** i think. All the music that I listen to support piracy for the most part.

i agree if your gonna use kazaa these days get yourselves kazaa lite. It blocks the RIAA from checking your files, plus it has none of the spyware that comes with regular kazaa. It the greatest

Well, alot of the songs aren't too popular, alot of old soundgarden songs are messed up, a couple black sabbath, and a Tom Petty song
