When you are talking about a straight razor are you meaning a cut-throat or the type where you replace the blade side on it looks kinda like a T...if its the last type then that if used carefully will do a better job than Mach 3 or any disposable...not the kind of razor to do a quick scrape with though...I have a very old one and I was lucky enough to get a box of the blades that fit at a swap meet for military surplus...the blades are from the '40's
but they can still be bought but it has to be said that overall they work out a lot more money than the Mach 3/disposable as you can't get quite as many shaves from them until they rip you to bits.
