Most insurance has a deductable. That is the amount you have to pay before they will start paying out. For instance, if your car has a $1000 deductible, and you get $2500 in damage to it, you need to pay the first $1000, and the insurance will pick up the remaining $1500. Works the same way with homeowners insurance. Also, if you file a claim, there is a good chance they will up the cost of insurance, be it homeowners or auto. Insurance is best used in catastophic events, such as major crashes or house damage.
As bad as I feel about the loss, and despite the hope I still have for recovering the marker, I want to get another gun into Chris's hands ASAP so he can keep playing.Comment

Well, I am just asking questions. No need to get defensive. What is wrong with asking questions?Originally posted by Steeratt
Mango, what the hell is the point you are trying to make? What was done was done. Now either add something constructive or go find another forum to spam with useless comments.
I just wanted to know some extra info thats all. Why are you getting all hot under the collar with me? What did I ever do and/or say to you?
I would NEVER try to diminish anyone's ego or do such a thing. I have been on this forum for a long time and take pride in the reputation I have established.
Also, I would not try to "monday morning quarterback" like you are saying. I am just asking questions. Thats all.
If you dont like it then do not litter this thread with these weak attacks at me. Thats what PM's are for.Last edited by Mango; 08-18-2003, 09:42 PM.

You did nothing to me. I know SPS16, and have played with him several times. I just saw him and his Emag the day before it was stolen, he had just upgraded it, and was extremely proud of it. Then it gets stolen.
I can only imagine how sad and frustrating that may have been. And though there may be a certain validity to your points, the last thing SPS needs to hear right now is "You shouldn't have left it in the car. That seems like an odd thing to do." Trying to make his actions the focus of the discussion, rather than the act of the person who stole it, is not productive or helpful. What we need to do right now is be supportive and helpful. Why he did what he did is irrelevant, and I'm sure he has figured out that leaving it in the car is something he should not do. He doesnt need us pointing it out to understand that.
If your only interest in this thread is why SPS left it in the car in the first place, then its better you just stop posting, 'cause its not helping.
But I've seen your posts before, and respected your opinions. I'm sure you have some great ideas that might help SPS16 out

I've got a tank you can borrow, my HP crossfire 68/3000.
BTW, I have to say this. $600 is awfully close to Viking territory
