Open CS/configuration/video/video modes/click the open GL tab, and whatever resolution you want.
I don't know if that will actually help you out, though. If what you are doing now works...run with it.Comment

Then that is the highest resolution your card can handle. I was going to suggest that particular resolution, anyways. It is easy on the system.Comment

Another hint is to turn of v-sync and set your monitor refresh rate as high as it will go without fitzing out.

I used to use those player models... but then I formatted my hard drive and cs seems to run faster while using the standard models.
Try making sure that you have the latest video card drivers and that at least 1/4 of your hard drive has free space. Othewise there generally wont be enough swap space for programs to run as smoothly as they couldComment
