Virus!

Has anyone else gotten e-mails that appear to be sent from AO that had Bugbear viruses attached? I've received two today...didn't open them because I'm not a dummy but they're definitely being pitched out of the AO server (like if you were to e-mail me a response to a post).

I can't be the only one.

It is just the season for these attacks....I got a nasty just now...but as I knew I hadn't emailed the people concerned no way was it anything I had wanted.....this happened about 6 months ago on another forum I belong to...all it means is that everyone on AO has had their emails details stolen by an attack on the servers at AO...also happened at the other forum I belong to around the same time that a lot of very old threads were being resurrected...old thread ressurection screws up the cache of the forum and it in basic terms needs a de-frag, it opens up areas of instabilty...this is also why the forum has been lagging lately...despite the fact that I get lag a lot of the time anyhow but then as my connection has a little further than most to travel this does account for some of it but think how many OLD OLD posts there are about recently...some of the "classic" posts actually adds to this problem
