FelltheRt why do you insist on doing this on hunting forums it is far from murdering, look it up. It would fit the definition of killing but it is well justified for hunters, hunting has been done for thousands of years.

Sorry guys, I have to just say that I don't really find hunting very "good". Doesn't seem fair to shoot at animals when we clearly overpower them in just about every aspect. Yeah, I know we have climbed to the top of the food chain, and I guess I can understand hunting and eating what you shoot, but the thing that really gets to me is hunting for simple sport.

                    hunting

Well i think that you have to look at this from a biological stand point. If we ( hunters) do not hunt animals we will undoutinlly help them along with a very slow and painful dealth. When animals such as deer get over populated they can get TB and if you do not know that that is to bad. Did you know that it will get you in the long run. If that gets into the cattel population it could mena htat if you eat a buger you could get it. An dby the way getting TB is not a nice way to die. Know if you think that i am just some kind of messd up huntter your wrong, I will have in May a BA in Evniornmental sci and Biolgy so I am not that dum. Just think aboutit, not all hunters are bad.

There is sport in the hunt itself. Hunting by man, who you say "overpowers the animals in just about every aspect", is absolutley NO different than the cougar/mountain lion/puma that can easily "overpower" the wussy baby deer. However, what sets man apart from the killer cat is that man has developed the technology to save the meat and carcass for extended periods. Man has also studied the body parts of animals and invented ways to make nearly all of it edible, use the fur to supplement our own meager coats, use the hide for clothing, rope, houses, furniture, tools, and decorations, and also to boil down the bones for glues and sealants. Which is unlike 'ol Pete Puma, that will eat his fill, then bury the remains with a few scratches over dirt, to be found by scavengers or simply rot away.

I hunt proudly. It is my God given right and ability to do so. Unless, of course, you are a follower of C. Darwins writings and theories. Then you could conclude that Man IS the top of the evolutionary chain, which helps when we are hungry and have to resort to our evolved thinking that; all animals are easier to cook when they are dead.

Think about that the next time you are in BKs munching down on a double cheeser!

I haven't been hunting for such a long time. My dad and I were supposed to go for bird this past weekend, but he was lagging. Theres actually a funny story; For my 14th birthday I wanted to get a paintball gun. I told my parents which one and everything. Then my dad was like, "I'm not getting you a (insert parental invictive here) painball gun. If I'm getting you a gun, it's gonna be a real one. And thats how I got my Ruger Mini-30 which I used only a couple times which sucks. But that doesn't matter I'll be 18 soon, and will be able to go hunting with my friends. For bird, I use a .410ga. Tell me how many of you guys have dropped a pheasant with a .410, not an easy thing to do. I gotta get my 12 gauge checked out, then I'll use that. Maybe I'll be able to get a couple more birds a hunt.

i have dropped birds out of the sir going side ways in front of me with my 28 gauge semi automatic.
and i tell you that is one of the hrades thing s to do.
                              took me 2 shots.
even with a 20ga it is hard to get a bird in the air.
