It's a scanner trick. My friend was telling me about how he had done that same thing before. All you do is move your hand with the moving light in the scanner it makes whatever you're moving seem really long.

Yea, it's gotta be fake, the fingers also change color about half-way up, it's hard to notice but they are different shades.
