Gasoline Pricewatch?

hey, i been in CA for the past weeks and all of a sudden i come back to my home land and the gas prices raise like hell. I remember watching some news coverage on some website that told u cheapest places for gas for your area. I tried looking for some but they all are either out dated or isn't large enough. Anyone know a decent site?

I'm driving cross-country this week. I started out in Fort Knox Kentucky. I filled up. The price for regular was 1.47

Next was somewhere in Illinois I think for 1.60 something.
Hit up a place in Kansas for 1.87
I'm in Denver, Colorado right now, and I imagine it is about the same. I'll know tomorow, though I wouldnt be suprised to see it arround 1.90something.

It's already over $2 a gallon for the lowest grade gas here in California. One reason for it is because we are shipping gas to Arizona. Prices there is over $4 a gallon!

It's right about 1.91 to 1.99 for Regular in Oregon.

Primary reason for the price hike is the Labor Day weekend coming up, some refinery having issues and the pipeline from Alaska to Arizona breaking. Right now it's like the 70's gas crisis in Arizona.

well live from Phoenix... here is the gas report.

Damn bad... but better than yesterday.

~about 1/8 of all stations have gas
1/5 of gas stations with gas have more than one grade of gas.

~99.995% of all stations are selling standard unleaded gas for over 1.98. The glowing example of non-price gouged gas is on Luke AFB and is hovering at 1.75ish atm. On the high end of the price gougers atm is the Exxon station on 59th Ave & Olive with standard unleaded @ 2.49 a gallon

~this is a MAJOR improvment from a week ago, beleive it or not. Gas in anyform was simply unavailable without waiting in a 2.5 - 4 hour line. And stores where setting caps on sales to as low as 5 dollars per customer.

I have to use premimum in all my cars (Turbo charged VW and small block Camaro) so I always get raped. I laugh cause premium hasent gone up much in my area for some reason, just regular. Regular is like $1.70-$1.80 and premium has remained within $.05 of its normal cost.


You want to complain about gas, we have to use Airplane fuel in our Corvette! So don't complain cause that stuff is about $3.00 a gallon. And the car only gets 7 miles to the gallon!!!! The price you pay for 500hp i guess.

Right now the "cheap" place near my house is 2.13 for reg. It's 2.19-2.25 else where. The SF bay area gets raped when it comes to gas prices.

wow. usually michigan is one of the places to get raped first, like last summer, but even then, we only topped out at 2.09 for regular. it has been steadily increasing though. last night on my way home i saw it for 1.87 for regular, up from 1.65 two weeks ago...

I know what you mean. I have a 66 ford with a 428 rated at 495 horses and haven't driven it in the past few years. gotta love those 100+ dollar fillups.

ive just stopped driving my expedition, that thing sucks it down, so i just always ride my motorcycle, i get 170+ miles from 4.8 gallons of gas, sure i use premium, but its usually right at 7 bucks or so to fill 'er up.

altho i did fill up my expedition today and it was right at 40 bucks, which is about average. i think it was 1.63 or something like that.

i have to say, that when you really think about it, its not THAT bad. ok lets say the average of the country is 1.80 for regular which i think is fair, if not we can do that one later too. but someone in cal is paying 2 bucks a pop. well thats a .20 difference. lets say you have a 20 gallon tank, which most cars dont have, i dont think, i could be wrong, anyways. thats only 4 bucks more for cal people, and we already know that the cost of living is higher there than bum-F minnesota or whereever you live. so in my opinion, which i know might be askew, its not a big deal.

I just spent $42 filling up my Jeep, and it gets only 6 and 8 mpg. I'm gonna get reemed.

Prices here are about $1.60 for regular and about $1.75 for the 92 octane which I use because my jeep is retarded.
