Today was our pep rally in school, girls in short skirts, gurls fliping upside down in short skirts, Really hot gurl shaking there booties.. but thats not the point. We were all sittin in the bleaches minding our own business, throwing stuff at the band the usual, and they ask us to stand up for the star spangled banner. That wasn't a problem but one kid didn't stand up. Right away a teacher saw it went running up in the bleaches and said sumtin to him. He still refused. She took him down out of the bleachers for a while then eventually he came back up. I noticed he was of spanish decent and also barely even spoke english. The teachers were gettin all mad at him and he looked like someone straight out of like a gang. I couldn't believe this. He didn't stand up again during another one of our nation ceremonie things and he got taken out again by a teacher that was very mad at him. Now i was thinkin is that even fair. He looked like he might have just moved here from another country, and they were treating him like this. I couldn't believe it. I didn't think it was fair. Do you?
Yo check this out....

Simple, someone needed to explain to him, in Spanish, that the school body stands in respect to the US flag and Anthem. If he did not understand what was going on, then his actions are understandable.
However, if he speaks English, and fully understands what the school traditions are, but decided to be rebelious on account of his (your words) gang affiliation, then he should be shamed in front of the school.
The days of kissing peoples butts to appease their personal beliefs is over.

Chances are he doesn't speak english. This happened at my school.
And just because he dresses in baggy clothes does not mean that he is affiliated with gangs.Comment

Don't let me catch you doing this. I lived 12 years in Europe and when I came baack I kissed the American flag. You have NO clue what you have in this country, until you've NOT had the privliges it offers. Not to mension Dr. Pepper, Mt Dew, Reeses, DQ,... and the list goes onComment

I think he meant "Bleachers"...which are the stands the crowd of spectators sit in to watch an event. Hope this helps...

Sunwarrior, don't take this the way but respect has to be earned, not given away. How can you respect someone if they did not earn it. (Respecting someone's beliefs are different)
Also I like your pic at the bottom of your message Army, is that you in the pic as I am trying to put bodies with the names of people that I seen and talked to.Comment

Perhaps he did understand but refused to stand, he has that right to refuse to say it because perhaps he doesnt believe in it, im not saying i dont, i stand and everything but if it was his wishes not to he has that right, like you dont HAVE to put your hand over your heart for the pledge of allegiance, but you are required to stand up...Comment

Hey I was in the band in high school, don't throw stuff at the band. Now back to the real topic, the kid may or may not have spoken english. If he didn't some one should have taken the time to explain to him about the flag and how we show respect for it. If he did speak english then he was most likely doing it to either get the teachers upset and/or he just did not want to stand. If that is the case then I have to say that that kid is pretty dumb (I am trying to use as nice words as I possible can). The teachers handle that the wrong way, by making a scene in the middle of the school rally they are taking the chance of possibly being accused of somthing that has nothing to do with the situation at all, you can probably guess what I mean. They should have talked to him after the rally and asked why he did what he did. I think that the kid who ever he was, gang or not, was just being stupid and did it on purpose for all the wrong reasons. That is what I think ( I knew some kids in highschool who did stuff like that just to get the teachers and everyone else upset).Comment
