What else needs to go in my First Aid kit?

Well, as some of you know, I just bought a new car. One of the things I always have in my car is a first aid kit, but I haven't had the time to make one up and put in my car. Would have come in handy today to. A little Mazda Miata got T-boned right in front of me. When I got to it, she was all right but about three inches from her thigh was a big piece of metal. It would have gone right through into her femeral artery and all I would've had to stop the bleeding was my hands. Not good.

    So here's what I've got

    Gauz and Band Aids
    Pressure bandages
    Slings
Tounge Depressors (I don't kno why there there. They just are. )

I keep thinking there is something I'm missing but can't put my finger on it. Any ideas?

a tongue depressor is one of those little popsicle sticks that the doctor sticks in your mouth and tells you to say "ahhhhhh".

And I don't won't to buy the kit. Its more fun to put it together myself. Sort of like tricking out your mag

shartley's list is the best, i cant really think of nething to add right now, except maybe string, rope or tape in case you have to make a hard splint and need something to hold the splint in place

                            The bare essentials

LOL... here's what you gotta have

Condoms... for that unexpected special moment!
                            Road flares... very cool!
                            Brass knuckles or equivalent.
One big freakin Mag light... preferrably the 4D cell one.
One Hi-Lift Jack, for lifting up a boulder or other heavy item under which someone is trapped.
One Axe, for cuttin off someone's leg when they're trapped under something... (Note... try Hi-Lift jack first)

Hmm... let's see... Ah yes! Numerous knives, and at least one gun as well as one paintball gun!

Surprisingly all of this stuff can actually be found in my vehicle!

                              The Solution

Just become an ambulance diver (EMT?), then not only will you stop worrying about what you have in your trunk, cause it will all be there, but youll get paid to use it!
