    Couple of airsoft q's

After reading the airsoft thread, I've got a few questions. What is a good site to buy these at, what would I be looking for to go play around my backyard...or in my house...(when my moms not home). LOL, and am i looking to shoot plastic bb's or real bb's, and how fast should I be shooting them. I see that some guns go to 350 and some are only at 150? What's the difference between blow back or whatever, and mini electrics? I'm just reading this stuf off a site. Any help would be appreciated!

Dont buy from Airsoft Atlanta. Go on a good airsoft forum and figure out what places are reputable to buy and what guns. Airsoft Ohio is a good forum, similar to AO, that you can look through rthe threads and articles. Generally, the best airsoft manufacturing companies are KSC, Marushin, and Tokyo Marui. Airsoft guns ONLY shoot plastic bbs. Dont go shooting outside were your neighbors can see you, they might call the cops cause most of the guns look dead on like their "real steel" counter parts. Theirs not many fields in the US to play cause of the stigma with guns, violence etc. It was started in Japan were they dont shoot each other all the time cause they cant have real firearms. If you buy one, only buy one made in Japan, and buy from the makers I've listed. Some are made in Tawain or the US and arent as good of quality. Mini-electrics are toys for little kids, not real airguns. They look like stubby cartoon versions of real assault rifles, thats why their 20 bucks. Gas or electric power will be a choice you will have to make if you want to buy an airsoft gun. They both have their upsides and downsides. Me and my friends all use the newer gas-blowback pistols and machine pistols cause they operate EXACTLY like their real life counterparts, electrics dont. Gas-blowback pistols "blowback" the slide of the pistol after each shot to automatically chamber the next bb, just like a real Glock or Colt 1911, their also much louder than electros wich run fairly silent 'cept for the sound of their gears spinning. Good pistols and small machine guns should be in the 100-160 range, assault rifles are in the 300s or more. If you want a assault rifle, definetley go for an electric, more reliable for big guns. People will try to sell you "top Gas" or something similar for your gas powered gun, just by the regular powered gas. The slight loss in velocity means nothing indoors and it will make your gun last longer. Go on Airsoft Ohio's forum and read up before buying.

definetely www.airsoftpro.net because they have great package deals. Action Village sells them now and that is hands down my favorite place to buy sttuff. I say buy a 20 dollar spring pistol. I have 2 of them i love em because they dont hurt much more than a pb gun and they are really accurate/cheap/durable. They also rule for indoor or outdoor fun. I use airsoft as a pb substitute when im pressed for cash. I love impromptu battles inside. Pistols shoot around 150-250. My most powerful gun(spring MP5) was like 40 bucks and its awesome for outside. Try a mini electric. They are weak and a bit innnacurate but they are soooo fun to play inside against a friend with. Dont buy a mini uzi electric because they are cheap. Look for a mini MP5 electric because they las longer.

Hands down www.redwolfairsoft.com I did a lot of browsing for airsoft stuff before I started playing paintball and Redwolf Airsoft definetly knows its stuff. It is located in Asia though so you'll have to pay some shipping fees and there's the chance it might get confiscated by customs but you can't beat their AEG prices.

Pretty wierd that www.shortysusa.com comes up with a link to Airsoft aswell...must be someone trying to get shorty's( www.shortyusa.com ) biz with a mispelt url

Although english you might want to pop along to here http://forums.ukairsoft.net and take a look around I'm sure there will be plenty of advice and links to help someone who is interested in Airsoft.

*note to self* go lie down in a quiet dark room and don't give help about airsoft again..you play paintball

I don't see how $213(Tokyo Mauri M4A1) is expensive for a 1:1 scale model electric airsoft gun.

Then you have to buy the battery and charger. A minimum of $46 for the battery and I can't even find rechargers on their site. Plus the shipping kills you. I think it was like $30 for my brother that bought a Tokyo Marui USP from there. But AEG's are usually around $70.

Not worth it in my opinion... But whatever floats your boat.

You got it wrong. AEG's are generally around 200 to 250 dollars, not $70.
