Man, I'm in college, but I had to give up paintball for a while...

I got to college with all my paintball gear, including my newly, never-used y-griped mag with x-valve (which I never played with it working 100%, damn that lvl 10, but I think I fixed after the last time). Then I'm flippin' through the dorm rules and it says "No paintball guns nor its ammunition is allowed, it will get your a$$ kicked out of here" (I'm paraphrasing). So I call my mom up, who was about a hour away at the time, to come back up and pick up my pb stuff. Oh man! No paintball, for now. Anyone have this same problem? I mean I guess I could just keep it hidden here, but that ain't cool. I dunno... Bummer huh?

My gun's in my LOCK BOX, along with all that other stuff that I hope my RA will never find ..anyway, I'm pretty sure you'd be all right if it stays outta sight and never finds its way into some drunk kid's hands.

When I was in the dorms I worked out a deal with my RA. I wouldn't flash it around in public, and would never air it up in the building.

THEN the following semester a couple of guys were working on thier gun and the local Staff guy in charge of the dorm wandered by and oogled it for a while then moved on. Methinks they put that rule in there so they can nail you if you do somethign stupid with it. Check with your RA.

why dont you just dissasemble the gun completely and keep it in a cheap safe or somethin, then if they find it, they prolly wont be able to figure out what it is, as for the tank, i dont know what you would do with that(it didnt say anything about the power supply for the "ammunition"(tank) did it? )

werd bro, I had to give up my Matrix and stuff, but it's no big deal. I miss paintball but I can live without it. I dunno about you but moving in was pretty easy. Overwhelming, but easy! good luck

I kept my stuff on campus for 2 years, and we had the same policy. If you keep the gun in pieces, in your closet, you shouldn't have any problems. If your responsible, you don't have anything to worry about. Talk to your RA, see how he feels.

We have the same thing here, all you have to do is keep it out of site. Here (and I would bet everywhere else too) they can't search your room unless they have a probable cause, so keep it in the closet and your fine. Just don't go shooting it all over everywhere. Also if you don't want to hide it, check and see if there is a paintball club on campus. If there is then Im sure there is a way that they can keep your stuff somewhere.
Sadly the mag is gone, moved on to an LCD Trix

You see, I'd be like that about 8 months ago. I played in 6 week tournament series, and played recball occassionally on weekends. But it got to the point where it just stopped being fun, it was way too repetitive. I couldn't get my team to do anything cause for a long time afterwards we were pretty much sick of it.... but then in the summer our feelings rekindled, but nothing ever happened. I might get back into it this summer, or some year coming, but right now I don't have that "need" to play, ya know? Eh, different strokes for different folks....

Our campus PD has a secured storage facility for students who own firearms and paintball markers. Its sweet. I thought about keeping my marker hidden away in a closet but my room mate was a shady character.

The first week in here I lived in a triple, which was supposed to be a double (occupency that is). Last weds they moved into a single (woo!), so I don't have roommates to deal with. Dorm mates, but I can lock my door. My last RA seemed not cool with paintball guns, I dunno about my current one. Next time I see him tho. I'm know I could hide it, in fact I have a good locking file cabinant I used the first week to keep my laptop and xbox safe when I wasn't in the room. Yet now I just have to figure out if I need it. I haven't heard of any club, at least no official ones. I am bummed that I never played with my y-grip, but it isn't too hard to get if I wanted it. In fact today, my family came up, took me shopping, gave me food, etc. They're about 3 hrs away. So...
