    Take a shower?

Nah...seriously, are you going to just drop to a knee and ask her or are you going to do something elaborate?

Just do it in a way that SHE would appreciate. I'm sure many guys can come up with ways to propose that THEY think would be cool, but the woman would think otherwise.

Well I've got a place picked out and it has a ton of meaning behind it for both of us. In fact it is where we met for the very first time. (in person)

Make sure it is a place that will be there for a while so you can give her a story to tell your grandkids.

I proposed at the Reflecting Pool at the base of the Jefferson Memorial in DC. That way if she said no, Icould push her in and walk away!

Best of luck. Is she expecting it? If so, through her off before you do it and DON"T FORGET TO ASK HER FATHER FOR HIS BLESSING!!!! That is still important to a lot of people these days and could avoid grief down the road!

wow man thats great....im a long way away from getting married but good for you...hope everything goes right

My wife used to complain that I played every Sunday - I did anyways.
                    Now I have no wife.
Moral: Now I can play paintball on Saturday and Sunday and afford to do it

I am in the same boat as you RoadDawg, I am about to propose and I am going to do it up big.

I already have had the ring for about 2 months and in a couple weeks I am going to surprise her with a trip to New York (she has never been and has always wanted to go).

I have paid for the suite in Central Park South, made reservations at several resturants, blah, blah, blah.

Also since she does not know she is going on the trip I have to talk to her boss and arrange for her to have a couple days off without her knowing.

Talk about nervous, try keep all that from someone you live with.

I actually had a buddy who got married a few years ago and he and his wife-to-be back then had their ceremony at Graceland. I believe they also had a guy who looked like Elvis wed them too! They were big Elvis fans obviously.

                            A few tips...

                            1) Don't have too many alcoholic beverages before popping the question.

                            2) Don't go anywhere where you have a high risk of seeing an ex GF or BF.

                            3) Use a good deodarant/anti-persperant. Don't let her see you sweat.

                            4) Gas up the car! Hate to run out of gas on this occasion.

                            5) Make sure the food is good if you go out for dinner.

                            6) Try not to upset or embarass her too much it may change her answer to your question and ruin your day.

                            Hope those help
