    Woo, it Arrived

    The brand new laptop.

    .. for movie editing. My dad wants to convert all our home VCR tapes to DVD. Of course it'll come with all the programs nessessary to do just that..

    But I want to get into further video editing. Can anyone recomend some good programs/tutorials?

    Not sure if you're getting a PC or Mac but I would suggest looking into Final Cut Pro once it comes out for PC. It's a really good editing program that's really easy to use. Way better than Adobe Premiere. It is a bit pricey at around $350, but that's expected when you're buying a more professional piece of software.
