usually 20,000 hits per month is 1GB of bandwidth. I can tell you that AO uses a hell of a lot....I talked to webby about it a while back
a subdomain is something such as:
http://subdomain.maindomain.com which goes to http://www.maindoamin.com/subdomain
100 POP email accounts are 100 email accounts that you access through outlook or a similar email program. [email protected] is an example. different from a forwarder which is [email protected] which forwards email to [email protected] or something.
multiple ftp accoutns in case you have two - three users and you want to give one only access to a directory. you have www.yourdomain.com and you can give them access ONLY to www.yourdomain.com/folder and they cant access anything else in the root folder.
CGI - PERL - SSI....web coding. CGI is a scripting language thats prolly irrelevant for a basic site.
PHP - MySQL is for database stuff usually...again prolly not needed on a small site
for a small, basic site, 100mb of storage and 1GB bandwidth should be FINE.
