Kazaa lite doesn't have those problems? Then again I don't download that popy crap.

The RIAA has been posting up false files so all of kazaa is pretty crappy when it comes to music.

If you really want to support your fave artists than go buy tickets to their concerts. Majority of the money made from albums goes to the record companies not the artist themselves.

You do understand that pop stands for pop culture right? I'm not talking about bubblegum pop either. So, unless your downloading classical music, it's pop.

yeah but even so, your not doing anything you can get in trouble for if you download the music for personal use.. read the copyright.

It's if you download then sell, but kazaa has won the last 15 law suits b/c they don't use a central server, so when I go on and get a song, I'm going over to someone's house, and putting a few of my fav songs on a CD so I can hear them in the car, nothing with that crosses the copyright.

it's all a load of crap, I wouldn't mind paying $20 a month to have acess to download all the music I want without all the bs.... and I have YET to see a band go BANKRUPT b/c we can get music from the internet...

Not in the context of music. In music pop would be Spears, Avril, etc. etc.

I used kazaa to get music today. I downloaded the songs off a cd that comes out on september 30th. I'm pretty sure the band put them up on kazza themselves. In the middle of the song it says 'Buy Ill Nino's new CD Confessions on September 30th'. If I can scrounge up 15 bucks I'll buy the cd. When I lived on campus I pretty much got all the music I wanted. So now, the only CDs that I want to buy are new releases.

Really? And this conclusion is from what? What people tell you on MTV or have you studied music before? I've studied music from baroque and medieval music to pop and 20th atonality. Took 3 years of history and theory in college, so yes I know my stuff.

Yes, Tool is pop music. Big shock? The genre of it is heavy metal punk. (not sure what genre it is, but it's an example) Britney and Xtina are in genre of bubblegum pop. It's like a jingle that never leaves your head. Name any other band, and it's probably under pop culture. That's why it's called pop.

Classical music is classical, and has different genres as well. So, unless you're downloading like The Chicago Symphony playing Bruckner 4 or Barber's "Adagio for Strings," it's pop.

k-lite is a lot better than kazaa program wise, but since it downloads files the same way kazaa does it doesnt really help the crappy-music part of it.
