when claudette hit us just a little while back, we didn't have power for a week. Have fun cleaning up the branches man. you're gonna wind up workin your butt off.

idk how strong yours is, but we had "gusts" of 90+ with sustained in the 80s

pretty small, but pain in the butt to clean after, i saw a tree crash into the roof of my neighbors house...was kinda neat. make sure you stand on something high up and let the wind try to blow you off.. thats fun.

Yep exactly same here. That is once you get above the Smog of Los Angeles and it's surrounding areas.

Nothing here. Alittle rain and wind. Nothing Serious in New Bern. But my good friend did drive into a ditch. We were driving to a friends house and i told him to pull over (into a driveway preferably) so i could make a call. He is going 55 and pulls onto the grass doing 55 as we start to slide into a speedlimit sign but then gravity kicks in and we slam into the ditch angled 35 degress or so. Fortunately someguy in a truck pulled up beside us and pulled us out. We did this when the storm was supposed to hit within an hour. Fun stuff.

My wife and I slept with the windows open (in case we lost power we didn't want it to be hot inside ) and there wasn't even enough wind to keep us awake.

I was quite disappointed, I wanted the roads closed so I could use it as an excuse to work from home. The internet filters here cut me off from AO from 9am to noon and 2pm to 5pm. IT's so annoying.
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

Geez, you guys got NOTHIN. I'm down here in southeastern Virginia. We got hit VERY hard. Trees down everywhere. We've been out of power since about 10am yesterday and we don't expect to get it back for at least a week (somehow we have power at work... where I am now). Lets see, there was a manditory evacuation of my city. We didn't leave. Turned out we would have gotten no gain by leaving... we would have just been less bored. If we had left, our boat would have floated away. Um... water level rose up to crotch level in the street, and it got up to the point where it was about to go into the garage before it started retreating. I was planning on taking the boat out into the middle of the street and fishing (woulda been a great picture). Then we ended up giving up on that idea, turned on the radio, and heard "Wow, striped bass sighted swimming around the streets!" And I missed it.. lol. Now that the hurricane has passed, and the water levels have dropped, we've gotta start cleaning up. My teammate down the road had 3 trees fall down. One landed on his HOUSE! Well, that's about all for now. I'll get some pics up when we think to bring the camera to work.

Hurricane was more like a Hurrican't!

That was a lot of build up for no hype. Thank God I didn't board up the beach house. I would seriously be kicking myself right now!
