I got the demo about a week and a half ago. Since I just moved and don't have my dsl back, I have been playing it over and over nonstop. It is a great game. I have to pick it up one of these days. -Matt

I pre-ordered it and Black Thorn a while back and they have both been shipped now.
Both have been out here in Korea for a couple of months despite the decision to release them later in the states given September 11th. The Korean versions have mostly asian team members and some different weapons. The language is of course Korean so I just demo'd them in the store.

I think I have a problem with mine?
I think I got a curropted version of it. When I press the F1 key, nothing happens. Its supposed to switch between first/third person. The other problem is that it is really choppy and I don't think its my computer. I walk a couple of steps and it freezes for a couple seconds then I can woalf for a little while and it does it again. It becomes magnified during a heavy firefight or if a tank shows up.
System specs:
1.33ghz Athlon
256 MB of RAM
TNT 2 Pro card
80 GB HD (not nearly filled up yet)
Not sure about sound card but computer relativly new (3 months)
Is anyone else having these problems?BrockSampson "I see dead people..."
and once I see them, I make sweet, sweet love...Comment

That sounds like a graphics problem with your video card. How many MB of memory on the card? You might need an upgrade, Ghost Recon is a bit of a performance hog :)
About the F1 thing - for now, you have to be in "observer" mode (hit F2) in order to switch to third person. It's a game bug that should be fixed with the first patch release.
Ghost Recon is simply amazing though, I couldn't stop playing it :) Beat it on the second day and I think my roommates were ready to kill me from listening to the sounds of machine guns all day :)
If you don't own it - buy it! (But be warned, it could end up owning you!)

Yeah, I noticed that the perspective buttons seemed screwy. The sound pops occassionally too. Well, it's a new game, not outta the ordinary.Originally posted by Tbone

I LOVE the sounds! You're in a gosh darn gun battle for real! It's way cool if you have 4 speakers, and you hear bullets zip by you... although this is not a new thing.. they just do it REALLY well.
I was somewhat surprised that my computer wasn't able to run it glass smooth. Although I do have the detail up all the way, res set to 800x600x16... 2x anti-aliasing.
1.4Athlon, Asus A7V133, GeForce3, 512Kingston, RAID... and this game managed to slow it down a bit!

I have the same problem. I believe that the TNT has 8MB of memory. I wrote an email to tech support so when I get it back I'll post it here. This game looks a lot like Rainbow Six. A newer graphic engine but basically the same. They probably just crossed a couple of lines of code or something. They better come out with a patch soon. Every time someone fires a light machine gun my coputer freezes up for a couple seconds and I usually end up dead.BrockSampson "I see dead people..."

Slateman- it could be a directX problem as well. They are up to version 8.something, go to the windows update site to check for the most recent download. Your videocard does look a bit suspicious though...

/me points to bottom of Ghost Recon box. Minimum requirements are at least a 16 MB video card. There's your problem :) I'd get myself a nice Radeon 8500 or a GeForce 3 and put that 'ole TNT to rest.Originally posted by slateman

And I really beg to differ about the game just being another "Rainbox Six". I've been following Red Storm's progress for a while now and the amount of work they've put into this has turned it into anything but another Rainbox Six. Completely different game engine, completely new graphics, sounds, and AI scripting. It's kinda like calling EA's 2001 Football game "just another baseball game". True, they're both sports games, but they're also two difference sports! :). Same company, same genre, but don't get the 2 mixed up :)Comment
