Tradewars!

Anyone here every play Tradewars? It's an old school text based game my irc channel has gotten into lately. It's all telnet, so there's nothing to download either. Just use your favorite telnet client and connect to tippmanntradewars.game-host.org, or click on telnet://tippmanntradewars.game-host.org . The game has only been going a couple days, so theres still plenty of opportunity for someone new to get in.

Heh that game always was popular. even back when people were running dial-up BBS services. A lot of friends and myself were DOOR game freaks. LORD, BRE, FE, LOD. it's all good [grin]

i still have my first modem..... it was a blazin fast 300bauder

heck my first comp back in 81 (yes i know that, that is older then a good chunck of the people on here and that i am dating myself a wee bit) had no floppy or harddrive, ran at either 4 or 8Hz i forget which.... ran basic and/or cobalt, B&W screen which was in the same housing as the keyboard.... it was a tandy trs-80 model3.... had 2 of those and a model4..... games were on a reguler cassate tape and ya had to use 1 of the old style tape decks that had the multi(input/output sumthing like 4) holes to connect it to the comp..... then i got my first disk drive.... an 8" floppy... then finally a 5.25"

boy those were the dayz.... heck i think i still have the mobo from my first 8088 with the 256k dips in 3 banks of 9 chips just to get that much ram =)

oh well.... but yes TW/BRE and the like well all lots of fun.....
