Better than Reloaded? What are you smoking? At least Reloaded had some well choreographed (not to mention well DIRECTED) fight scenes.

I liked the first Matrix. This second one was just plain stupid, however. There were some cool scenes (motorcycle scene) but that is all they were....some cool scenes thrown together with no plot.

As for choreographed action the Matrix is only one type of action sequence. Even I as a martial arts fan got sick of these long drawn out scenes of choreographed fights (some for no apparent reason). The Matrix was cool but everyone started copying them. I thought that this movie was just another clone but instead it went a different direction. Why should that be disappointing?

EDIT:
My point is that the action sequences should drive the plot not the other way around. In Reloaded it appeared that the plot was merely a guise for manuevering the characters into cool action sequences (a mistake of many Hong Kong movies). It was obvious that they were desperate to make the movie long enough. Why else would we have to listen to drivel on causality or watch people dance while Neo and Trinity engage in extremely boring sex?

i still dont believe that they would have lost all of their ability to fight hand to hand. they learned to do it once and im sure its like riding a bike, you never forget. and blade pulled off carrying a sword around. so what the fubar

My assumption is that prior to Lucian falling they only unted the Werewolves when they couldn't change (since it noted that after his fall they started learning to change withouth the full moon). I sort of figured that when there was a full moon the vampires just hid from the Lycan since the lycan would whup on them something fierce. Yes I like Albinonewt's idea. One of his very few brilliant ideas. But also think of this.

Why do our soldiers not carry swords? Is it because they can't learn how to use them? No it is because guns are better. The vampires carried guns now. They hadn't forgotten to use the swords when they needed them (Selena did use it to chop off the head vampires head) It is just much more convenient to shoot something that especially when it is really big and strong. Also note that he, the head vampire, carried around his sword. He had been asleep a long time and didn't know about all this new fangled stuff. Which begs the question how did he make it to the U.S.? I suppose his coffin was brought to the U.S. with him still asleep.

I'll have to agree with aaron.

If you remember in the subway, Selena did use those funky silver throwing disks.

The vampires evolved with technology. Guns are more convienent then carrying other weapons. Also the guy with the whips seemed to want a little hand to hand combat, eh?

Also one of the death dealers did fight a lycan in the subway hand to hand. Although he lost, he did not shy away from it. For that matter, whip man fought and did not run either. I don't think the vampires fighting prowess was that diminished. Firearms are just more convienent.

Was a great series, and without doing any research on it to check if this is true or not. I remember being told that the reason the series was cancelled was that the main character was killed in a auto accident between seasons and they opted to just cancel it rather than replace him.
