So it is a real pic?
Or better yet, why don't you kill yourself. No, really, die. Drop dead, don't leave a note, in fact burn your house while your little ego is stuck in a bench vice so that you'll also incenerate yourslef and everything you own with it. Because that's all you're worth. You're not even wirh thte time it'll take for the house to burn down, so just kill yourself. You're a waste of space. You are nothing, you always will be nothing. Don't leave a note, you're not worth the ink. - Tyger

I'm told this is real. I can't confirm that, but it is cool no matter what.

Nope, that's not real. Can't you tell it's been photoshopped? Clearly the sun was at it's apex of 46.788 degrees and would therefore have cast a different shadow on those clouds. Also, due to the fact that the satellite that took that photo was in geosynchronous orbit, you would expect to see a skewing of the symmetry of the radial subversions in the cloud architecture.

The guy that sent it to me got it from a guy who says his brother in law in the coast guard sent it to him and that it was real.

Photoshop sucks. Now you can't tell if what you see it real anymore. Seeing was believing, until those punks at Photoshop ruined it.

Arkfear, no they do not occur in Hurricanes. They do occur in Super Cell Thunderstorms and some of those do indeed spawn Tornados.

i like tictacs, you curse one more time and I end your fun once and for all. Chill out dude. Don't cop an attitude over it. Enjoy it if you want to. But it is fake and you should hear the truth. It is cool though. Just not real. It's a compilation of several weather formations. But it is clearly photoshoped. Deal with it.
i didnt avoid the filter, so i don't think i actually cussed...it is real, just someone mistook it for isabel.

The ship you are referring to Tictacs is the Edmund Fitzgerald. The theory concerning it is that there was a loading bay open that took on enough water to bring water over the deck and into the cargo holds(I believe it was a coal freighter)

Regardless, that first pics is awsome. I don't care if it is fake.

I saw clouds like in the first pic once although not quite that magnitude bad tornadeos hit a few counties down after that.

The Fitz is at the bottom of Lake Superior, not Michigan. It was hauling a load of iron ore. You are correct about the cause: one or more of the deck hatches were not properly closed. It took on water and (probably) capsized during a sever storm in November 1975. All aboard were lost.

A wall cloud can be part of a super-cell thunderstorm. A super-cell thunderstorm is not a wall cloud though.

What kills a thunderstorm is the precipitation downdrafts caused during the mature stage (the middle part of their life). A super-cell thunderstorm is a thunderstorm whose upper half is blown away from the lower part of the storm. This doesn't allow the rain to slow the developement of the storm, so it grows large.

Just though I'd throw some OT info in there

Yes, now i remember, it coming out of the water between two waves was one of the theories presented, however it was disproved.
