Night Vision!

Since it's fall, and our trees in our back yard are ripe with apples, deer have been combing thier way through the neighborhood eating peoples gardens and especially the apples on the lower branches of our tree. The other day my perents were talking to the neighbors about the problem and they mentioned how they owned a night vision monocular, well they let me borrow it and it is the coolest thing I have ever seen (besides Timmy's x-mag). It's unbelievable what you can see in the dark and how it looks just like day with a green tint, in pure darkness. I didn't know we had an abundance of rabbits in the area untill yesterday when I looked around the house and saw 6 just sitting out in the wide open like in a petting zoo. Just now I came back inside from scaring 4 more away from our back yard, Night Vision is definatley uber cool.

I have yet to see the deer come back though (probably since I'm up all night sneaking around the house looking for animals), but I just thought I had to share the wonders of my dull boreing life...

As for right now, I'm gonna try to go and take pictures through the monocular with my digital camera...

Heres a pic of my neighbor, she was walking her dog and by the time the camera went off, she was behind the tree. You can see the top of her head... (keep in mind that the road in front of my house is alot lower than our front yard)
