its a saying from the south/oh brother where art thou, a hick tells his brother that his wife/mother left and to be nice he spelled it out as not to trouble the kid, he said "yup my boy's momma up and r-u-n-o-f-t in the middle of the night" then later when they are all trapped in the barn the boy drives the car through the doors and said "HURRY UP BOYS IM ABOUT TO R-U-N-O-F-T" simply stating the boy maybe smarter then them all
