    Paintball isn't a "sport" at UMD, but this is?

    I can't believe my alma matta. The University of Maryland has created a new varsity sport.

    What will they do next to placate the PC in the NCAA? Guess what, for the most part women's sports lose money. Football and Basketball make money! Those programs have to subsidize the rest of the athletic programs. That is crap! Oh well, Maryland moves further to the left!

                              I think you guys are really reading that the wrong way. This is definitely NOT a move to the left. They are calling cheerleading a varsity sport so that they can be in compliance with a sexual discrimination law! If you ask me, this is kind of a clever way of thumbing your nose (ala the saucy Frenchman from Holy Grail) at the left, if anything.
