    Mp3 players?

I've been thinking about getting a mp3 cd player for college for quite some time now...I've been looking at the rio series--any comments/suggestions?

    Thanks

I have their first series. The Rio Volt cool blue. I LOVE IT. that's 640 mb of music. an average for 220 songs to a cd.... takes a few seonds to load up the CD when you turn it on but you can but you're MP3's into diretories and the Rio will let you scroll through directories! REAL KEWL. And hte remote that comes with it was a big help when walking around Florenz Itally. Anytime I needed tunes just have to put the plug in you're ears and hit play on the remote... instead of having to dig it out of you're backpack.

    I say go for it!

I have a RioVolt, just got it last week. Best $150 I ever spent, holds about 150 songs (thats just because I mostly listen to trance, the songs are real long and usually at a high bitrate). Definetly a good buy.

I want a Rio Volt for XMas, which models do you have. I was thinking about getting the basic $100 because I already got expensive headphones and such.

You could just get any mp3 player and then put it in a plastic bag when you go swimming... lol, no advised but it's do-able.

I have on of the MPTrips teh first of teh CD MP3 players, and for what I want it does real well and the 50sec anti skip ( for cd music ) = damn near impossiable to skip mp3's

Its directory system sucks and it selection of play most sucks but for $115 over 18 months ago it was awsome.

I am looking for a new one.

What I want is a way to burn super long files names to disk without having to hack up the files names :/

Alot of pools acctually have music that plays underwater, like at some of the Disney Hotels.

Heh, I have a Handspring Visor and I got the Mp3 Module for it a while back. Usually it comes with a 32 MB MMC card, for like $140 or so, but I stopped by a Staples and saw it for $99.95, so i picked it up...

                          Man, that thing SUCKED.

First off, I had to return it TWICE. I popped the thing in and it wouldn't work for the life of me. I ended up returning it after fiddling with it for about 4 hours.

I go back to the store, and get another one. SAME problem. So I mess with it for another 3 or 4 hours or so, until I decide to go to a differant Staples Location.

Finally when i pick it up there, It works.

                          But.....

The thing is a frickin' VAMPIRE. I drained my Visor batteries in 40 min. Not to mention that it only carried 32 MB..

Man, it was the worst buy I made in long time. I finally returned it AGAIN, and got a plain' ol CD player. I figure i'd stick with what works.

Well, I have a raveMP mp2000, that thing is the slowest frickin thing there is when it has to data transfer. Not to mention those damn memory upgrades cost more than the player itself!
