My kinda guy... although I'd rather have a coupe (GT). Oh, wait! I DO have one! No 383, though... stock engine. If it ever goes, we may drop a supercharged Miata engine inside.

I think Shartley's point is the one you are thinking about Failure. All Formula 1 cars create enough downforce that once upto speed you could drive them on the ceiling I think last time I was at McLaren they said something like 8 tonnes of downforce? (didn't quite catch it as was very busy). The car weighs a hell of a lot less than 8 tonnes

That's the amazing thing about Aerodynamics. I used to create models for Wind Tunnel testing and you'd be amazed at how small details can affect the car. I remember talking to a guy before the Audi TT came out and he was saying it wouldn't work Aerodynamically as it would creat lift under throttle lift off and fall of the road... Exactly what happened when they put them on the road... and now they have that Ugly little spoiler and/or changed suspension set ups

I just got home after 'spanking' (it's a Brit slang term ) it around some roundabouts on the way back. You guys are missing out on roundabouts, you can't believe how much fun they can be

Fly in, heavy breaking in a straight line, into second, turn in, power on and out of the corner/roundabout, hold the gear to 8000rpm, hit 3rd gear and 70 something mph... then heavy breaking for the next one... ahh such fun. We have a town here called Milton Keynes which is just a grid shape of roads connected by roundabouts. Many people hate it, but it's great fun to drive in a sports car

Drive safe and defensive though! Always!

          manike-

detroit is a net/maze of freeways and junctions so we have some pretty fun driving in these parts as well

my morning drive starts out with a nice long steep entry ramp to a desolate stretch of highway. nothing quite like easing onto the ramp and opening up through the first three gears and popping out onto your own private chunk of road at 90mph to start the day

          NikeMann-
you may want to look into dropping a Contour SVT 3.0L into your car, it takes some doing, but they fit. that mod is on my wish list.

There's a good chance I'll find out by the end of this week when/if I will be in Detroit at the start of next year. Maybe we'll go find that stretch...

Gonna come and show the Dearborne guys how to use 5 axis machining and Reverse engineering

Nothing beats countryside driving here though. Summer days, low hedges and country roads which are a mix of fantastic bends and Roman straights

Lovely Bike!!! I'll bet the autobahns don't last long on that.

I'm resisting my urge to get a bike because I want to live a little longer...

I was thinking of getting a bike as well. Suzuki Hyabusa mainly because we get them at cost being a Suzuki outboard engine dealer. Im afraid that being an adrenaline junkie I am going to get myself killed on a bike but Im intruiged by them. All my friends have bikes and do dumb tricks on them like jumping off to the side and slide on their feet next to it while doing like 50 mph. Thats soooo dumb man, ever hear of death? Ever try having to run at 50mph if you mess up? Doesn't work very well at all.

                              nice sliders Manuel

I hear you about the bike. Corners are way more fun, something that definitely seems missing in the USA. I have to say the same thing to myself when driving my car.

I don't do drugs (well except alchohol ) but I am an adrenalin junkie. I know what I'm like, I have to keep pushing my limits and on a bike I would just be a danger to myself.

I want one, but am not stupid enough to get one... yet...
