New graphics Card with something cool bundled!

HL2 was pushed back to a unspecified "holidays" release date a few weeks ago. The whole damn source code thing though throws that into doubt now though as Valve has almost their whole network shut down while the try & clean all their comps. Really sucks Oh, initally only the 9600xt & 9800xt will come with HL2, although there's talk of all the cards coming with it in eventually in the future. Due to the release setback the cards will probably come with a voucher to pick it up after release. And the bundled bersion will be the full version, not a neutered one

It's just too bad...

That I can't physically bring myself to purchase an ATI product.... something I've stuck by since their early days. Guess I'll just have to buy it.

when hl2 comes out they'll license the source engine scrap all their work thus far and start redoing the entire game using that. so yes. hl2 will come out before dnf.

There's a reason why Duke Nukem has "forever" on it.

But yeah, I used to have a hard time buying any video card that wasn't Nvidia. But after buying a Radeon card, I say you can't go wrong. Also, if you plan on playing HL2, the ATI is clearly the card to play it on as the newer Nvidia cards doesn't run it that well.
