    Off to a LAN party.

Ah, tis no normal gathering of Halo loving hooligans...Because this one's at school!

Our gt class had a field trip scheduled for today to go to a museum, but it turns out that they decided to close that day. We're talking about alternative field trips, and I suggest a LAN party in the class room, since every other person owns one. Sure enough, she got us out of our last 3 periods and we're gonna play from 12:20 to 4:00. It's awesome how the room is set up too...the tables form a giant hexagon, for discussions and stuff, so we'll have 4 tvs facing outward, and set everything up in the center. Of course, I'll probably be sent home early because I tend to....eh hem....Curse a tad, when I really get into it.

Now I just hope that everybody brings that little thing on the end of the controller cables....The thing that detaches so you don't yank the xbox out. We always forget those, and it makes you feel stupider than ever. I marked all of my stuff with duct tape so nobody gets confused, so it looks real nice and ghetto.

Is hooking a few xboxes together really considered a LAN?

Doesn't seem like it should be.

    Anyway, hope you have fun!
<---Should be banned for circumventing the cuss filter.

That's pretty sick man, you're so lucky! looks like i'll be doing the same thing tomorrow at my friends house. It's gonna be good cause we have about 8 people bringing their comps over and we set up a lan. Probably play a lot of CS, then some starcraft, either way it's gonna be pretty cool.

anyway, have a good time today man!

technically, I think it is. A local area network is just a few computers that share a server, so if one xbox, which is a computer, is the host, which is also like a server, and the other 3 link to it, then I suppose it is classifiable as a lan.

Well, today was awesome. Only problem was that the girls had no idea what they were doing and thought it was funny to kill me....even though I'm on their team. We kicked em out thought, and had a blast. Last night, in my excitment of gettin all my stuff together, I forgot to put my essay in my backpack, and it was worth quite a lot. Not as bad as one kid today though....he didn't have a printer, so he saved it to a floppy. Turns out that it screwed up and didn't save.
