I just customized my own box. Price came out to $26,579.99 I'll have my parents buy this for me when I graduate college in 8 months. I just hope they get me the $17499.99 monitor to go with it.

hmmmm..... depends on your definition of utilize... So far as processor etc...I am sure I could load it down good Esepecialy when Half Life 2, Doom 3 and a couple of the other new games come out.

So far as performance... consider that my machines here at work handle in the neighborhood of 100k transactions a minute (All of which are under VERY strong encription) ... that thing would keel over and die with that sort of hit. (shrug)

There are some very cool things here... like the PuRam Technology Drive .... if it works like they say it does (When do things ever ) that could be pretty cool... boot off of that and with the right bios settings you could hit the button and have your box fully booted within seconds. Now for 5gs.... I'm not going to worry about it all too much, I can wait a few extra seconds..lol
For the other flash drives I have seen normaly you are looking at about half the seek time of 10k rpm drives... fast ... but not instantanious. I think this is definantly going to be the future of drives though, give em a year to evolve and they will be sprouting up everywhere.

Can I correctly assume that windows nor any consumer software product will even begin to utilize 1% of the power that machine is capable of?

Personally, I wouldnt. Because it's not a true virtual reality program that can take advantage of that array of monitors. It would just look completely stretched and the textures would look wack. Plus, you have stupid black bars between the monitors. Pretty dumb idea but it does have a wow factor at first.

I would assume it wouldnt look stretched, but it would just give you a larger field of vision, kinda like my dads two monitors on his mac...
