you should rig up some kind of flap that covers the VGA port and what not.

Heh, my dad did that shortly after he got out of college 1982 ish. I believe he used an apple 2.
He did take it with him on a plane once, was pretty funny cause they thought it was a bomb, but couldn't figure out why a bomb would have a power chord..
