Help with GTA3 please!

i have gta3... and everytime i try to load a saved game, the loading bar thingy goes all the way to the end, then my hard drive stops working (the clicking noise stops) and it just sits there for like 5 min, until i hit enter and a "send error report message" pops up. Ive tried to install the update patch that i got off of rockstargames.com, and it keeps saying that it cant determine my version. this is making me really mad cuz i want to be able to play my freaking saved game! HELP!!

i hit create new thread like 4 times because my god damn wireless is so slow!!! its so slow it wont let me delete them either.

sounds like your box is having issues in general. Uninstall everything you don't need. Clean up the start up items and reinstall the game,... see what happens.

i copied the program file from a disk that my friend burned... i guess that might be the problem becuase i didnt really "install" the game; i just copied the gtaIII file from the disk into my program files.

Theres alot of reasons that wont work... mainly since when you install the game it sets up depending on what your system is configured... also it adds keys to your registry.

Besides pirating software is naughty and bad..... report to the school nurse for your spanking.
