To get revenge or not? That is the question

Okay, so here's the deal... Today at school I found out that a hospital that I want to work at is hiring for a particular position. I've been waiting for it for a while, and my classmates know it. So I went to the supervisor today to talk to her about aplying for one of the spots, and she tells me that they were 4 were filled by my classmates, and the 5th was fille by a student from another school. So what I want to know is should I F' over my fellow classmates for doing this to me or just let it go, or just try to be all buddy buddy with them and let it go.
I know what I want to do, but I just want to know what all of you think of this.

But if they are working at the place that you WANT to work at, and you piss them off, you will have a signifigantly worse chance of getting a job there. Retribution is best served cold.

Frankly dude, I say next time be faster. Apparently they jumped on the posistion faster then you did and they won.

Also, if you're all in class together and the job is related to your class (or major) in anyway it was unreasonable for you to assume they would pass up the opportunity because you wanted it too.

Actually I'll post their grades. I tutor all of them in my free at no charge in physics, and film imaging and processing. Before I started ALL 4 of them were on the verge of getting kicked out of the program due to their grades (a minimum of 80% is required in all classes to stay in the program, they were getting lucky with the director being leinent and letting their 70's to 75's slide by). I think you can see where this is going, and where I'm going to go with this. I guess I'll just watch their grades slip because I led them in the wrong direction (oops), and say "buh-bye" to them once the grades come out again.

Every one is entitled to take a chance at getting a job. In real life you don't get to call dibs.

You were too slow. Plain and simple.

Any thoughts on retribution just show that you are small minded. Suck it up and know to be faster next time, the minute you see the open position contact the person responsible and apply.

If you were so interessted in working there it's your fault for not making contact with the person responsible for hiring BEFORE the positions were open.
