So... I got a Mazda RX7!!!

It's a 1988 5-speed Sport Edition, and I just got it today, haven't really driven it too hard... yet

It will see its first race October 21st, when I enter the local SCCA Solo autocrossing event, so wish me luck!

Right before the discontinued them, they were NICE. Id kill for an RX8 though, supposedly they dont perform like the last generation RX7s did though.

Actuall I had a buddy that drove 2 states away to pick up a 2nd gen RX7. He drove it home and had to stop 2 times to let it cool down. Once he got to Iowa he found out there was no mazda dealer that would work on it. So after 2 years he finally gave up an sold it cause it would constantly over heat without a good reason. I've heard alot of them have problems with the heat thingy. they are cool... but I think a inline 6 is a little less prone to problems.

Those inline 6's just keep on going, but alot of people say they eat cats. And hey there is nothing wrong with having to drive over 30mph to keep your car cool. Damn fan stat is on its way out.
