gahhh trying to play music

this is incredibly annoying.... anyway anyone know why when im playing only certain songs on my computer all the sudden it starts making this god awful screeching noise?

i swear just to make sure i downloaded a couple copies of the same song (i already have the cd's btw) and the same thing happens at different points. note the 2 cds its happened (only on one song on each) to are cold and an ataris song.

did you say that happens from CDs?? or just from the downloaded mp3s? Cause it sounds like what happens when you play a sabotaged mp3.

i put the cds in to convert to mp3 and was listening to them before hand and it did that and did the same on the mp3 i played(it plays fine on everything else)

i downloaded about 40 different versions of the atari song this afternoon before i got one that would play the whole song(i dont think its just a botched download)

also note it does this in the kazaalite previewer doohickey, windows media player(what i usually use), and quicktime(checked on that to see if it was the WMP)

i dont mind too much about the cd thing because i usually listen to cds in my car or in my room.
